The 4th edition of the European Remembrance Symposium

“Remembrance of the Second World War 70 Years After. Winners, Losers, Perpetrators, Victims, Bystanders”

Over 200 representatives from 120 institutions dealing with the history of the 20th century attended, among them were the members of the Center for History, Democracy and Reconciliation.

The Symposium was opened with a speech by Professor Jan Rydel from the European Network Remembrance and Solidarity. The second day of the Symposium was opened by the Federal President of the Republic of Austria Dr Heinz Fischer.

Prof. dr Darko Gavrilovic and the Provincial Secretariat for Science and Technology Mr. Vladimir Pavlov met with the Austrian president and also had a meeting with the senior representatives of the ENRS regarding the possibility of achieving academic cooperation. The work of the Center for History, Democracy and Reconciliation was presented before a wide audience by the Project Manager Jovana Mastilovic.
