Special emphasis is placed on topics that connect local communities, improve coexistence and encourage sustainable development.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-6293999 elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"6293999\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>At the opening ceremony, the participants reminded that peace does not mean identification, but acceptance of diversity and rejection of intolerance. Professor Dr. Darko Gavrilovi\u0107, president of the Center for History, Democracy and Reconciliation, pointed out that societies become vulnerable when reason and dialogue give way to slogans and divisions.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-8570abf elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"8570abf\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The mayor of Obrovac, <strong data-start=\"1282\" data-end=\"1296\">Ante \u017dupan,<\/strong> emphasized the importance of building a relationship of trust between Croats and Serbs, while the president of the Association for History, Cooperation and Reconciliation, <strong data-start=\"1428\" data-end=\"1449\">Janko Veselinovi\u0107,<\/strong> underlined that, regardless of political challenges, it is necessary to persevere in creating a positive atmosphere and a better position of minority communities.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-885606f elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"885606f\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>Community representatives also spoke about the importance of minority institutions. <strong data-start=\"1665\" data-end=\"1682\">Anja \u0160impraga<\/strong> from the Serbian National Council pointed out the pressures that the national councils face, and <strong data-start=\"1771\" data-end=\"1795\">Darko Sari\u0107 Lukendi\u0107<\/strong> from the Croatian National Council in Serbia spoke about the financial and status problems of the Croatian community, as well as the consequences of the slowdown of Serbia&#8217;s European integration on minority politics.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-e1f286f elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"e1f286f\" data-element_type=\"widget\" data-widget_type=\"text-editor.default\">\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-widget-container\">\n\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<p>The program of the meeting continued with panels dedicated to historical perspectives and the development of tourism cooperation in the Bukovac region and Juzna Lika.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<div class=\"elementor-element elementor-element-54f8d6e elementor-widget elementor-widget-text-editor\" data-id=\"54f8d6e\" dialogue and cooperation was once again confirmed, and the Center for History, Democracy and Reconciliation is proud to be a part of this year&#8217;s initiative that contributes to understanding and
