Summer school "It is not a crime to be human" organized by the Center for History, Democracy and Reconciliation
The summer school “It’s not a crime to be human” is a project that was held 11. and September 12, 2015. in Novi Sad.
The lectures were realized in cooperation with the Center for Tolerance and Youth Development (CTRO) and the Faculty of European Legal and Political Studies (FEPPS).
At the beginning of the meeting, the participants were addressed by prof. Dr. Marijana Pajvančić – dean, prof. Dr. Darko Gavrilović – president of CHDR and Stefan Ljubičić – president of CTRO.
The lectures covered topics that are extremely important for society.
Some of the speakers focused on national minorities, people with special needs and the population living below the poverty line.
Topics related to the fight against hate speech, the fight for human rights, the importance of youth festivals for the politics of reconciliation were also in focus.
In addition to these topics, the participants also learned about the process of European integration.
The lecturers at this summer school were prof. Dr. Darko Gavrilović , assistant professor Ljubica Đorđević , Ph.D., Assoc. Dr. Igor Stamenković and Prof. Dr. Zoran Đerić .
The summer school was visited by 46 participants who were students of the University of Novi Sad, the University of Belgrade, the University of Education and the University of the Business Academy.
The goal of this project was to provide students and young people with new information and knowledge about current social issues and problems.
In addition, the goal was to create a space for dialogue and exchange of opinions between the participants.
This summer school was also a great opportunity to learn, connect and gain new experiences for the participating students.
