Darko Gavrilović

Prof. Dr. Darko Gavrilović is a full professor of history at the Faculty of Science, University of Novi Sad. Gavrilović teaches at the Department of Geography, Tourism and Hotel Management.
He is one of the founders of the Center for History, Democracy and Reconciliation.
He is the editor-in-chief of the magazine “Serbian-Croatian relations in the 20th century”.
He was a visiting professor at Aristotle University (Thessalonica), Charles University (Prague), University of Lodz, Jagiellonian University (Krakow), University of Porto and University of Dubrovnik.
Most of his research was carried out within the framework of the history of Serbian-Croatian relations and the politics of regional stability and reconciliation. He also carried out additional research work in the field of the culture of memory with an emphasis on topics related to the Holocaust, anti-Semitism and the protection of the rights of national minorities.
He is the author of a large number of texts and monographs.
In addition to being a historian, Gavrilović is also a novelist and screenwriter.
