Development of democratic relations in the region
The Center for History, Democracy and Reconciliation has been operating since 2007. has been the organizer of numerous actions that encourage the development and strengthening of democratic relations in the region.
CHDR contributes to the development of democracy and the strengthening of democratic relations in the region through the organization of meetings, round tables, summer schools and film production.
Members of the Center for History, Democracy and Reconciliation participate in actions and projects dealing with the following topics:
Protection and sustainable development of minority rights
Issues related to refugees and migrants
The Holocaust
Anti-Semitism
The culture of memory
Interpretation of contemporary history - a path to understanding the present
All these activities are carried out in order to fulfill the main goal of CHDR, which is
Policy of regional stability and reconciliation.
The main objective of the Center for History, Democracy and Reconciliation (CHDR) is to provide assistance and support in improving relations and to foster cooperation in the region by promoting democratic values, tolerance and peace.
Regional cooperation is a key way to keep the region stable and prosperous in the long term.

Croatian-Serbian relations: Refugees, returnees and ideology as factors of identity building – Golubić 2019
The Center for History, Democracy and Reconciliation from Novi Sad and the Association for History, Cooperation and Reconciliation from Obrovac organized the twelfth scientific conference on “Serbian-Croatian relations”. The meeting was held from 22. August to 25 August 2019 in Golubić (Croatia).

Overcoming problems during the migrant crisis
A new project under the auspices of CHDR
The Commissariat for Refugees and Displaced Persons of the Republic of Serbia and the Federal Ministry of Justice and Police of Switzerland.
The goal of the project is to overcome the problems that arise during the migrant crisis, which are important for fixing i
improving the position of the population of migrants and asylum seekers.

Serbian-Croatian relations: Dominant state narratives and culture of memory in Croatia and Serbia – Golubić 2018
The international scientific conference on “Serbian-Croatian relations” was held for the eleventh time in Golubić, in the period from 20 until the 25th August 2018 years. The Center for History, Democracy and Reconciliation from Novi Sad (Serbia) and the Association for History, Cooperation and Reconciliation from Obrovac (Croatia) were also this time the organizers of the meeting.

Symposium: “After the Great War. Challenges for Europe 1918-2018.”
Members of the Center for History, Democracy and Reconciliation (CHDR) participated in the 7th to the symposium “European Remembrance” held from 15 until 17 May 2018 in Bucharest (Romania) organized by the European Network Remembrance and Solidarity.

Croatian-Serbian relations: Identity and economy – Golubić 2017
The tenth jubilee international scientific meeting in Golubić was held from 24 until the 28th August 2017 years. The organizers of the meeting, as in previous years, were the Center for History, Democracy and Reconciliation from Novi Sad (Serbia) and the Association for History, Cooperation and Reconciliation from Obrovac (Croatia).

Symposium: “Violence in European history of the 20th century: marking, documenting, education”
Members of the Center for History, Democracy and Reconciliation (CHDR) participated in the 6th to the “European Remembrance” symposium in Brussels organized by the European Network Remembrance and Solidarity.

Croatian-Serbian relations: Refugees and migrants, peaceful coexistence and crisis resolution – Golubić 2016
In the period of 19 until the 24th August 2016, the ninth international scientific conference was held in Golubić (Obrovac) in the Republic of Croatia. This meeting was entitled “Croatian-Serbian relations, refugees and migrants, peaceful coexistence and resolution of the crisis”. The organizer of the meeting, as in all previous years, was the Center for History, Democracy and Reconciliation (Serbia) with the help of the Association for History, Cooperation and Reconciliation (Croatia).

European migration crisis 1945-2015 causes and consequences
The international scientific meeting “European migration crisis 1945-2015, causes and consequences” was held in the Ceptor Center in Andrevlje from 31. March to 2 April 2016 organized by the Center for History, Democracy and Reconciliation (CHDR).

CHDR summer school: “It’s not a crime to be human”
In September 2015 In Novi Sad, a summer school for students was held in the organization of the Center for History, Democracy and Reconciliation.
