Art colony "Identities" in Golubić
The art colony “Identities” was held in August 2014. in Golubić, Croatia.
This year , the Center for History, Democracy and Reconciliation decided to bring together artists from Croatia and Serbia within the framework of regular gatherings on Serbian-Croatian relations .
This exhibition presented the works of authors who are professors and assistants at the Academy of Arts in Osijek (Croatia) and the Academy of Arts in Novi Sad (Serbia), and among them were Goran Despotovski , Vladimir Frelih , Ana Petrović , Sonja Radaković and Vlado Rančić .
The works included paintings, sculptures, installations and photographs, and all the authors were highly creative and unique. Each of the artists provided their own perspective on the topic of identity, whether it was personal identity or the identity of their country.
At the opening of the exhibition, Goran Despotovski and Vladimir Frelich gave speeches in which they explained their artistic processes and how they got inspiration for their works.
This exhibition was important for the artistic community in Croatia and Serbia , because it provided an opportunity for artists to get to know each other and exchange ideas. It was also important for the local community in Golubić, which had the opportunity to see an exhibition of works of art that are not common in the area.
In conclusion, the “Identities” exhibition was an excellent opportunity for artists to exhibit their work, for the public to view it, and for the art community to connect and communicate. It was one of those events that made a positive contribution to cultural diversity and artistic creativity in the area of Northern Dalmatia.
