Ranka Gašić, Ph.D. , is a scientific advisor at the Institute for Contemporary History, Belgrade. She graduated in history at the Faculty of Philosophy, University of Belgrade. She researched Serbo-Croatian relations and Yugoslavia in the early 20th century. century, about the Serbian press in the Habsburg Monarchy, about the history of Belgrade between the world wars, elites in Serbian society, freemasons in Belgrade and the cultural influence of Britain and Germany in the Kingdom of Yugoslavia. She conducted her research at the University of Leipzig, the Political Archives of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Bonn, the Bundesarchiv in Berlin and the State Archives in Vienna.
